"HELP! ... I'm lost." (add navigation frame) |
Updating note, Fall '07 ... This gallery is the first attempt we made to show the variety of pieces we offer. Much here is outdated but may have historical or sentimental value. If any prices sneak through the revisions, they are wrong. Similar things to much of this is still available, even if not usually still produced so it never hurts to ask.
The jewelry made at actonjewelry is composed of two design elements, the metalwork and the stones. The metalwork tends to be the consistent factor with designs changing only very slowly or not at all. To help discuss the designs they are divided into what we call "pieces" which are simply the kind of piece, namely rings or earrings or necklaces etc. Within each category of "piece" are "styles" which are usually named. In this gallery section we will try to illustrate the many "styles" which are currently being produced. The gallery is arranged with a main page for each kind of piece with pictures and descriptions pertinent to all the jewelry in that category and followed by pages illustrating the styles available. The variety of stones available for a given design will tend to be indicated with some discussion of what's possible for each style. Of course not all stones are available for all pieces. Some indication of the usual price range is also included. At any given time there are up to a few hundred pieces in stock and a few dozen of the larger and more expensive ones. This changes somewhat on a weekly basis. The gallery will therefore NOT be, strictly speaking, an inventory of what is currently "in stock". That information will need to be communicated by personal contact so get in touch if you're interested. It is the case that most of the pieces illustrated can be made custom in a very similar version. Pictured from top and left; Green Tourmaline Cameron Ring, White Moonstone Schann Ring, Biggs Picture Jasper Plain Necklace & Diedre Earrings, Blue Lace Agate, Lapis Lazuli & Holley Blue Agate Tsunamii Brooch, Mook Jasper Acorn Earrings, Lapis Lazuli Shield Necklace and Circle Ring. Note: a small p in front of the entry in the gallery links list means no pictures are posted yet. A small c means that I haven't gotten around to writing the copy. W |
