Old Poems

"HELP! ... I'm lost." (add navigation frame)

Taurus' Shield

Scorned by past locusts,
Old Broken Top rises like a frozen torrent
amid domesticated juniors,
one forked leader crumpled like the river god's horn.
Achelous overflows with indignation.
(ash eh LOW us, who fought Hercules)

Necklace with forest green Imperial jasper.
Keep peace with nature?
OBT is(was?) a real old growth fir seed tree,
kinda rare around here.

These are some of the poems which have lost their pieces. There is quite a body of them. The way it works, the poems get scribbled down however, usually in the shop when the pieces are being made, then they are done on tiny cards in calligraphy for the display. Usually when someone buys the piece, they take the card. The scribbled versions are tacked up or whatever. That's what these poems are. Since the advent of web authoring and digital pics in our life, there are pictures to go with the poems and they make the little "poem pages" in the following section.

Urania's Trowel

White bird of night lights briefly on blasted alder snag,
tracks of it's years dimly orange in freshly broken shame.
Owl daughter quickly plants a surprise
.

Pendant with large brown Botswana agate below
a small, white moonstone square.
Sensing seeds for the future in crisis?

Rood of the Indestructable Root

The Fire King's dim eyes see his Queen's still dark tresses
flash against a bank of orange day lilies,
spotted now with remembered peonies.
The enduring strength of opposition.

Pendant cross with large orange moonstone round
centered in four smaller garnet rounds.
Helping remember difference is creation?
